Marriage and children are no guarantee of heterosexuality. This is a list of some dead people who are known to have been homosexual or bisexual and who had children. They are all from the public domain, and thus are generally from the upper and middle classes. This is simply because there is less public evidence about people in other walks of life and we are not interested in "outing" the living. Full biographies of most people here are readily available on internet.

John Cheever (3 children)
John Cheever (1912-1982) was an American novelist and writer of short stories. He was married and had three children, one of whom, his daughter Susan Cheever, wrote candidly about her father's bisexuality.
