Marriage and children are no guarantee of heterosexuality. This is a list of some dead people who are known to have been homosexual or bisexual and who had children. They are all from the public domain, and thus are generally from the upper and middle classes. This is simply because there is less public evidence about people in other walks of life and we are not interested in "outing" the living. Full biographies of most people here are readily available on internet.

Sir Harold Nicolson (2 children)
Harold Nicolson (1886-1968) was a politician, diplomat and diarist. He married the Hon. Victoria Sackville-West (see above) and they had two children, Nigel and Benedict, although he had regular relationships with his own sex.
